Michael J. Sielaff
Biography
Michael J. Sielaff is an actor and educator who calls Los Angeles home, though his roots trace back to Fridley, Minnesota. He earned his degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, where he studied Religious Studies as his major—even considering seminary at one point—and Theater as his minor.
Among the experiences that have shaped his path: a semester abroad in India, work as an Actor-Educator with CLIMB Theatre, and establishing Rogue, an improv, storytelling, and artivism collective. He has produced, directed, and performed on a five-city tour with the sketch group Laughtivism LA, served as a storytelling coach for individuals who were formerly homeless, and managed a sports card business. Other highlights include coaching in the Comedy Sportz High School League, traveling to Thailand, hosting more than 50 episodes of the web series Fridley Fridays, performing duo improv, and joining a U.S. tour with the production Insidious: The Further You Fear. He also makes time to reconnect in person with family and friends in Minnesota at least twice each year, enjoys snorkeling, and expresses himself through poetry.
Sielaff remains dedicated to teaching, performing, and expanding opportunities for socially conscious art, character-driven improv, and personal storytelling.
